We have lots of people coming over at different times this week and lots of plans to entertain and enjoy our friends company, hence the title of today's blog. I am excited, but the idea of feeding so many people (and keeping my house clean, makeup on, and not wearing pajamas around the house) for days on end exhausts me to be quite honest! But enough about me, lets see what I am going to feed these people!
Monday
Breakfast: Bagel and cream cheese
Snack: inordinate amounts of coffee and chocolate chip cookies with my friend Sarah. It was shameful, I swear.
Lunch/Dinner (Is that Linner?): I looked up at 3 and realized I had never fed the kids lunch. To be honest we never got hungry because of all the cookies, and we were on our way out the door to get Alex a hair cut so we all went to Planet Sub, where kids eat free on Mondays. Yum.
Tuesday
Breakfast: Special K cereal (lets make up for yesterday, eh?)
Snack: applesauce
Lunch: baked potato
Dinner: Indian Butter Chicken
Naan
(Let's forget all about making up for yesterday! We are having company over to play Killer Bunnies! See also: Best game ever!)

Lunch: Chicken Adobo and white rice
Dinner: Swedish Meatballs and homemade noodles

Menu Monday, the Snowed in Edition
Yesterday, having learned that we were expecting 5 inches of snow and realizing that I had nothing in my house but peanut butter, cereal, and half a gallon of milk, I hit the stores. It was crowded, it was frustrating, it took 4 hours, but I now have one well stocked pantry and fridge. Can't leave the house for two weeks? No problem! We are prepared! (I bet we use it all quicker than I will ever imagine). The downside it the library is closed on Sunday and I didn't go on Saturday so now I am worried about running out of books! (A real problem in my house) Oh well, here is what that trip to the store procured for us to eat this week: (All of these recipes come from Sparkpeople.com or allrecipes.com. Sparkpeople is a wonderful weight loss website, and allrecipes is just a wonderful resource for recipes in general!)

Menu Monday, What to Eat?
Welcome to my first ever Menu Monday! Let's see what my family is going to eat this week! I do all of my menu planning and grocery shopping only twice a month, so this shouldn't be too hard for me. All i have to do is type out what I already have planned, right? We will see.
Something I like to do is plan on certain days to make extra meat and then turn the meat into something else the next night. This saves time, money, and food. You will notice I did that this week with the pot roast, and again with the chicken.
