Science, Week 2

Here is our second week working on Oceans for science! We had a lot of fun. I can't believe how many experiments and worksheets there are out there for oceans. We are using Exploring Creation With Zoology 2: Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day for our main text and supplementing with a few other books and worksheets. All of the worksheets listed today come from www.EnchantedLearning.com



We don't have as much to share this week because of snow days, but we did finish up the first chapter and all of the corresponding activities, which means that next week we will start chapter 2, which is all about whales!

This is a picture of Isabella's ocean diorama. She will be adding more to it as we study. Right now it only has zoo plankton, phytoplankton, and angler fish. 

This is a picture of Isabella after we did an experiment that shows how being deep in the ocean affects your lung capacity.

This is a picture of an experiment from the book where we had hot water with blue food coloring and cold with yellow and watched which way the water moved as they mixed.

Tomorrow is our first geography post, and it is also our first day of co-op so I am very excited!
